Safety
Your safety is the most important thing to us. These guidelines will help you use JustSpur safely, recognise warning signs, and know what to do if something doesn't feel right.
Before meeting anyone from JustSpur in person, take time to get comfortable online. Here's how to protect yourself:
Before meeting someone, search their name online. A genuine person will typically have some kind of social media presence. This doesn't mean everyone who doesn't is suspicious โ but it's a good gut-check.
A short phone or video call before meeting can confirm the person is who they say they are. If someone repeatedly avoids calls or video, treat that as a caution sign.
There's no rush. Get comfortable through chat before agreeing to meet. Anyone who pressures you to meet immediately or move very fast should raise your antenna.
Keep conversations in the app until you've met and feel comfortable. The app gives you easy reporting and blocking tools. Once you move to WhatsApp or Instagram, you lose those protections.
Meeting someone new is exciting. These simple steps help ensure it stays that way:
Safe date locations in India: Coffee shops, malls, restaurants, popular parks, and multiplexes are all great first date venues. They're public, populated, and easy to leave.
Most people on JustSpur are genuine. But it's important to recognise warning signs:
Trust yourself: If something feels off โ online or in person โ it probably is. You never owe anyone a date, a second chance, or an explanation for leaving.
Every person on JustSpur deserves to be treated with respect. Consent is the foundation of every positive interaction.
Violating someone's consent on JustSpur will result in immediate account termination and, where appropriate, reporting to law enforcement.
If you encounter a profile or user that feels unsafe, inappropriate, or suspicious โ please report it. Reporting helps protect you and everyone else on the platform.
On any profile or chat: tap the three-dot menu (โฎ) โ "Report User." Choose a reason and add details. Reports are reviewed by our safety team within 24 hours.
For urgent safety matters or if you cannot report in-app, email us at safety@justspur.com with the user's name/profile details and a description of the concern. We respond to urgent reports within 2 hours.
Your reports are confidential. We never reveal who reported a profile. Reporting is anonymous and is one of the most important things you can do to keep JustSpur safe for everyone.
Blocking is your right โ you never need a reason to block someone. Use it freely whenever you feel uncomfortable.
When you block someone on JustSpur:
To block: open the chat or profile โ tap โฎ โ "Block User." It takes less than 3 seconds.
Every JustSpur user has a verified Google account. This eliminates completely anonymous accounts and makes it harder to create multiple fake profiles.
Other users see your approximate distance (e.g. "3.2 km away") โ never your exact location, address, or GPS coordinates.
Our team reviews flagged profiles and photos. We have zero tolerance for explicit content, fake identities, and profiles that violate our community standards.
Safety reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Urgent threats (harassment, safety emergencies) are responded to within 2 hours. Accounts confirmed for serious violations are terminated same day.
We're building a photo verification system that will let users confirm they are who their photos show. Verified users will receive a badge on their profile.
Dating can be emotionally complex. We care about your mental wellbeing, not just your physical safety.
